Byron

I used to write restaurant reviews on my blog but it just fizzled out - I'm going to start doing them again and what better way to start than with Byron.

So... Like... OMG... I'm so late! Where has Byron's been? When did it open?

Tom Byng at Byron Hamburgers had a vision, a vision to create a place that made great burgers. I find it hard to find a place I can specifically go to for great burgers (the Diner in Shoreditch is quite good actually). Byron's is that place for me - I'm hooked.

I went to the Shoreditch branch first and fell in love with their Macaroni cheese. Honestly, I haven't tasted food so good in so long (food from a restaurant I mean). Completely hypnotised by the food I had I decided to go again a few days later but this time to the Greenwich branch - situated right by the Cutty Sark. I raved about this to my good friend Char and she decided to go, obviously reporting back to me with positive things. They have a few branches so check it out if you ever want a break from the usual Nandos, TGI's etc

Check out the pics below.

This burger was so yummmm...

Ile Ijo

I've been hearing this song for a while now and I just couldn't find out who the artist was... Now I know its May D and I just can't stop playing it! Have I mentioned before how much I love afrobeats? Well... I love it so much I don't really listen to other genres like I used to... Afrobeats is feel good, lively and funky, always puts me in a good mood. I usually ask my friend Remmy for mixes etc - she puts them up on her blog so check it out here

Aqua Sample Sale

Let me set the scene..
Dreary day in London, bored and tired at work, decided to quickly check my emails... :o 'Aqua Sample sale' subject title in my inbox, clicked on it with no hesitation... eeeeeeekkkkk.

I can't remember why I didn't go after work that same day but I went the next day after work and there were so many nice dresses, tops, skirts. I was in dress heaven UNTIL I tried the dresses on. I love the style of Aqua dresses, they are different compared to high street stores like Topshop, Asos etc but where their designs are different so are the way their garments fit.

I personally don't feel Aqua cater to women with any type of curve, boobs and bum. I tried on 6 dresses... SIX and I only bought 1. I can hear you now 'oh it must have been the styles you picked up, did you try it without a bra, did you get a size up and down'... YES YES YES I tried it all. I was in the sample store for more than an hour (poor Sam and Crenshaw) lol. I actually hate trying things on, I'm happy I did though cos I would have bought 6 dresses and had no use for the other 5. I wasn't the only one that felt this way, (was trying on these dresses in a room with 4 other ladies *yes I know*) and these ladies were on average a size 12/14 and they had issues with the dresses they picked up too. Their items really are unique but it is disappointing trying them on and having to leave an item behind because it isn't flattering to your figure.

Aqua please make more room in the chest, hip and bum area for ladies that might have a little more luggage to carry. Thank you :)

In saying that I purchased a maxi skirt and a dress they had 2 seasons ago.... Can't wait to wear it!!!!

Shoreditch, Brick Lane and stuff

T'was a spontaneous trip down to Shoreditch, got on the East London line. Looked around a few shops, took a few pics in Urban Outfitters. I really liked the bag and necklace pictured above (not sure if they're still in store as this trip was actually back in April :s) - yes uber late posting this. Ended the day with fish and chips at Poppies... loved it!!!
