And It Grows

Its been nearly 10  months since I cut my hair off and I cannot wait for the day when I can rock a full on 'fro... *big grin*. I know some people do not like the 'natural' look and I have received some comments that no one will take me seriously in the working world o_O - I'm not bothered about all of that. I've done this knowing exactly what I want as an end result and I'm just going to keep working towards that so every 3 months or so I'll put pics up of this journeeyyyyyyy!!!
I have my hair in braids mostly (its just easier for me and I know that if I have it in braids I won't be tempted to relax it).
I've learnt a few things over these past months about my hair
  1. My hair is THICK - my hair was thick when it was relaxed but I guess I underestimated how much a relaxer was thinning out my hair... I had to buy another afro pick attachment for my blowdryer.
  2. Definitely had to part ways with my hairdresser, if your hairdresser complains about your hair being too thick and her advice to you is to 'relax your hair' even though you have explained what your hair goal is - take your money and go elsewhere.
  3. Never knew I actually could have curls - they're like tight little ringlets. Cute
  4. My hair has grown. It grows... I was scared that I'd cut it all off and I'd still have no hair but it's making progress
  5. Youtube videos are my friend... so many tutorials or encouraging hair journey videos to watch.

  3. I couldn't do a big chop, but once I stopped relaxing, my relaxed ends fell out anyways but luckily my fro grew in very quickly. (I actually couldnt believe my hair was naturally curly lol) its been about 29 months for me...and i dont regret ever going natural. And if i didnt have youtube im sure I would have been tempted to go back to the relaxer...there's so much help and support on there
your hair looks great btw (:
