Stacey Dash is back on the tv screen, joined by LisaRaye and Charity Shea. A series that shows the life of single ladies and exactly what they go through day to day. This show has been compared to Sex and the City (I wasn't a fan of that show) but I like this one. I think it is more 'Girlfriends' with less comedy, more reality. The scenes are realistic - one of the characters, April, is going through a divorce, Keisha has an issue with fully committing to a guy because of a previous relationship and Val is looking for love 'the right way'... If there is such a thing!
Finally, Basketball Wives! Now, out of all of the women in the show - there is actually only 1 wife. The rest are divorced or ex-fiancees or baby mothers, lol, sounds messy already, well it is! A load of messy with a dollop of drama. This is a show based on women who are involved with basketball players. The drama in this show tops all of the ones above, sometimes I feel like it is so unnecessary and childish but I can't pull myself away. I find myself - mouth open, orange juice and hula hoop crisps beside me, munching and drinking away in disbelief, do women actually behave like this? Grown women, women over 30 with kids... As much as I lust over their shoes and beautiful dresses, I'm happy to say that is all I want. I tune in every week to see what new drama has occurred because trust me with these women... if it is not new drama, it's old drama. And their drama makes good tv.
