Lancôme Teint Ultra Idole 24H

I think I've found MY foundation - the one we all long to find and continuously search for. I'm still testing it out - it's been about a month now lol but I really really like it.

I asked for a sample in shade 13 and 14 (as I wasn't sure what shade would fit me best, the assistant only had shade 13 so I just got a sample of that) - it's called Sienne, matches my skin perfectly, light weight, doesn't feel heavy, doesn't feel like you're wearing foundation, all those grubby make up marks I used to leave on paper or my doors at home - they are no more. I'm really happy with it.

There is a distinct fragrance to the foundation which did smell quite strong the first time I used it, I think I'm used to it now, I even like it, I welcome the smell.

I don't know if it lasts 24 hours but it lasts a very long time without leaving my face really oily. I have very oily skin (as in so oily I can wipe my face and use the oil to cream my hands) - yes I know. Ok ok slight exaggeration but it's oily darn it and I'm tired of it. This foundation doesn't need to be re-touched or anything which is great because I really am not one for carrying a make up bag around. Too much effort.

There was a 10% off sale in Debenhams and I was contemplating buying it but decided not to - I wish I had bought it now because once this sample finishes I will definitely need to buy it. The sample is only supposed to last 7 days, its lasted me 3 weeks and counting. Really impressed with this. I really believe everything Lancôme has said about this product.

I was previously using Revlon ColorStay in Cappuccino and Mahogany (I've not picked either of them up once) - maybe when I want more coverage I'll use them but for now - its all about Lancôme!

This is how small the sample bottle is

1 month and counting... Go Lancôme!!!

Royal Mail Delivers....

I'm always getting something in the post, makes me happy when I see something I've ordered has arrived.

I haven't written a post in a while, so I thought I would show you guys what I've received in the post (not all purchased at once)

Pamper Secrets box for April

I think this will be my last Pamper Secrets box - I haven't really used any of the products from the first box and I doubt I will use any for this box either. As much as it seemed like a beauty box that would fill the gap and cater to women of colour - I don't think it's really giving subscribers the products that they would want to use. These products are good (just for testing), I wouldn't go to Boots/Superdrugs and buy them - that's my opinion on it.

MUA collab with Alexandra Burke - Lip Boom :)

'Its A Situation'

'OMG'

I bought one more Lip Boom in the shade 'OK.COM' (the picture has refused to upload) but I like the shades I chose. There are 2 more shades in the collection that I wasn't sure about (couldn't really tell if they were shades I would like) - they're available in Superdrug from 9th May so maybe I'll go check them out in the flesh. I also received a free Immaculate Collection palette with my order *big grin* - as you can see it's yet to be opened but I'm loving the mix of colours.

Ebay lashes

Lastly, I purchased these lashes from eBay. I'm low-key annoyed because I bought them so I could wear them over the weekend. I really wanted to order a bulk set from a seller in Hong Kong but the delivery time was too lugubrious lool *don't know what that word means but it fits* - the seller stated anywhere from 3 days to 3 weeks. o_O I ordered these lashes from a UK seller instead, they are nice but I could have got them cheaper and I could have got about 40 more pairs for less than what I paid. Okay okay I only paid £4.18 but still...

Another reason why I was annoyed - the day I got these lashes I showed them to my mum and she said 'did you buy the glue?' - I replied 'oh I didn't need to - got a few tubes that I've not really used'... To cut a long story short, those little tubes of glue you get with those stupid lashes you buy for £5-£7 for one pair.... are absolutely USELESS. I tried so many times to glue these lashes and got so frustrated because the glue ended up on my eye lid, nose, fingers (messed up my smokey eye look) - ended up ripping them off. So, yes I bought them, didn't end up wearing them and am still yet to buy glue. Great!!!!

The lashes are nice - I think I might give my mum the first box as those lashes are not longer than my own and they don't really add any volume to my natural lashes either. The 2nd box are more of a dramatic pair - I'll keep those in my stash of things I hardly use. *sighs*
