In my previous post, 'New Brush set' (click
here if you didn't read it) - I mentioned that I'd purchased brushes from E.L.F and how rubbish they were. I've wanted to fill you guys in on my experience but I didn't have any pictures of 'said brushes' - now I do.
Concrete evidence!
I purchased this brush set (I can't remember the price, it was inexpensive) and I was excited when it came because the brushes looked very neat and the all black handles were a stand out feature to me. With any make up brush you buy you should always wash them before you use them - that is what I did and what a mess!!! The face brushes had red and black bristles (as seen in pics below) - when I ran them under water, a funny red colour started running from the brushes. o_O
I should have just packed them up there and then and sent them back but I thought that maybe if I just kept washing them, the water would eventually run clear. Every time I washed the brushes, the red dye would run. The brushes were not soft, the hairs on the brush shed like CRAZYYYY. Seriously, I'd have the bristles on my face, the sink, on the floor - WHY?!

This brush sheds worse than Premium Now hair smh |
I know the brushes are inexpensive but I've just purchased a set from eBay and none of those things have happened. I actually have more faith in Primark make up brushes then E.L.F.
The eye brushes are not bad at all, I don't use them all the time but had a complete different experience with them. I ordered other E.LF. products also like eye shadows, concealers, and a gel eye liner - absolutely no problem. I don't think face brushes are E.L.F.'s forte - saying that I bought a brush from there studio line called 'stipple brush'... which I love and use for my liquid foundation. I think I may have received a bad batch of brushes but that experience is enough for me - I won't be buying face brushes from E.L.F again. Soz!
