I've been meaning to post this for a while but just didn't have the time to... (I guess I do now, since I have the FLU -___- )...
Do you remember how much I raved about a new mascara 'Falsifeye' in a previous post, click
here if you missed it. I had been using that tube religiously just hoping they would release it... and THEY DID! *insert Carlton dance here*
I really love this product. It was available to buy in Boots stores from July 13th and I made sure I bought it shortly after that. You will notice a small tube or pot next to the mascara in the pictures above, well... Boots were giving away a pot of gel eyeliner with every mascara purchased. LOVE LOVE LOVE. I use eyeliner all the time and this gel eyeliner is great, it gives you a nice clean line...no smudges. They even give you a teeny brush to apply the liner (I do suggest getting a bigger one if you're not good with fiddly things like me).
I also bought Revlon ColorStay in Mahogany. Now before you comment, please understand that I was not a fan ,of buying foundation from Boots/Superdrug etc. I used to think that the quality was represented by the price - how wrong could I have been! After breaking out so much from MAC's foundation, I started to research brands that I could try that would be skin friendly. The Revlon foundation came up along with Nars, Bobbi Brown and YSL (I have previously tried YSL - review on that another time). I decided to buy it after seeing so many good reviews on YouTube (you guys know I love me some YouTube - its like an online review site for anything and everything) and it actually is
really good.
I picked up the combination/oily skin bottle and it really does leave a nice, matte, not overly done finish. The only problem I had with this was my colour choice, when picking the colour I chose Mahogany because it really seemed like it would be my shade. FAIL!!! It came out so much darker and I thought I could get away with it but after going out and seeing the contrast between my neck and face, I realised I had to let it go. The next shade down was Cappuccino but it just looked so light and it had more of a red based colour than a yellow (make up heads you know what I mean). I've figured I might buy that colour anyway and mix the two to see what colour I do end up with.
To be honest, I did buy this a while ago and I don't use any foundation now - LONG. The small haul turned into a long review. Soz!
